A man in his 50s who sat in the business class seat without authorization and caused a disturbance on board when stopped by a flight attendant was taken into custody by police.
According to police on the 30th, the Incheon International Airport Police Unit apprehended a foreign national in his 50s, identified as A, on suspicion of violating the Aviation Security Act and is investigating.
A is accused of causing a disturbance, including shouting loudly, on a Korean Air passenger flight bound for Incheon Airport that departed Manila Airport in the Philippines on the afternoon of the 29th.
He allegedly caused the disturbance after sitting in a business class seat without authorization and being stopped by a flight attendant, who sent him back to his assigned seat.
The disturbance did not delay the aircraft arrival. After arriving at Incheon Airport, the airline handed A over to the police.
