Hyundai Motor announced on the 16th that it has extended its partnership with the World Archery Federation for three years, continuing as title sponsor through 2028.
With this renewal, Hyundai Motor will retain its title sponsorship of the World Archery Championships and the Archery World Cup while expanding its support to the Para Archery World Series and the Indoor Archery World Series.
The Para Archery World Series is a core program that the World Archery Federation has operated to develop para archery since receiving management authority from the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) in 2009, and it will be held for the first time next year in six countries, including Thailand, Chile, and the United States.
The Indoor Archery World Series is contested at indoor archery venues with an 18m setup and is an international event open to participants from the general public to elite athletes. It takes place annually from October to March of the following year in seven countries, including France and the United States.
In addition, Hyundai Motor added a robotics sponsorship component to this contract. The company plans to actively promote its brand identity as a future mobility platform company by showcasing robotics technologies at key touchpoints such as global event broadcasts.
Greg Easton, the new president of the World Archery Federation, said, “The partnership with Hyundai has been a key driver of the global growth of archery since 2016,” adding, “From 2026, as support expands for para archery and public participation programs, cooperation to enhance inclusivity and elite competitiveness will be further strengthened.”
