A dedicated space will open to explain the Seoul Metropolitan Government housing policies in an easy, friendly way from a citizen perspective and to resolve questions about housing.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 5th that it will open the ‘Seoul Housing Policy Communication Center’, a place where citizens can share their housing concerns, at the Seoul Hall of Urbanism and Architecture (119 Sejong-daero, Jung-gu).
The city explained that the center was established to go beyond one-off information provision by creating a ‘two-way communication hub’ in an accessible downtown area near City Hall, where housing policies are presented in exhibition format and on-site difficulties are heard.
Through the exhibition, the center is designed so that everyone, from newlyweds and young people preparing to secure a home for the first time to citizens curious about urban renewal projects·Moa Town, can easily understand housing policies and practical benefits.
The exhibition proceeds in the order of a home good for raising children ‘Mirinae Home’, a new path for renewal projects ‘Fast-Track Integrated Planning’, and a new neighborhood made together with neighbors ‘Moa Housing·Moa Town’, and it is arranged as interactive content in which the city character ‘Haechi and Friends’ guide the exhibition.
Citizens can follow Haechi to naturally find policies that fit their housing situation and obtain information comfortably as if in conversation. The center can be used free of charge from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Going forward, the city plans to continue field-centered communication administration by running programs that meet citizens directly at the housing policy communication center, such as briefings on purchased rental housing and roundtables among stakeholders in Moa Town renewal projects. Information on visiting and operation related to the Seoul Housing Policy Communication Center can be found on the Seoul Hall of Urbanism and Architecture website.
Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon said, “To calm anxiety in the housing market, the city has step by step pursued solutions that could be put into action immediately” and “Going forward, using the opinions delivered through the center as a foundation, the city will create the standard for housing policy in Korea.”
