On the 10th (local time), as the war between the United States and Israel on one side and Iran on the other entered its 11th day, the Israeli military said it had begun airstrikes on key infrastructure in Iran, including weapons facilities.
According to AFP the same day, the Israeli military said in a statement, “We have begun airstrikes against the core infrastructure of Iran's terror regime in Tehran.”
The military authorities said that one of the main targets was a weapons research and development complex inside Imam Hossein University, a military academy of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. A military official said they had struck underground passageways in the complex where an armed unit of the Revolutionary Guard had been conducting experiments and tests for the development and production processes of ballistic missiles.
It added that Israeli fighter jets also attacked infrastructure within a major headquarters of the Quds Force, the IRGC's elite unit.
