The country's largest information and communications technology (ICT) exhibition, the ‘2026 World IT Show’, will kick off on the 22nd at COEX in Seoul.
The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 21st that more than 460 companies and institutions from 17 countries will participate in the World IT Show, held from the 22nd to 24th, to share the latest technology trends centered on physical artificial intelligence (AI). Marking its 18th edition this year, the event has adopted the slogan ‘Beyond Thoughts to Action: AI Moves Reality’.
In addition to domestic electronics and telecommunications companies such as Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus, firms across diverse sectors including AI semiconductors, robotics, and digital platforms will showcase their latest technologies. Samsung Electronics will exhibit key new products such as a micro RGB TV, spatial signage that delivers 3D depth without glasses (displays installed in public or commercial spaces), and the Galaxy S26 series smartphones. LG Electronics will present a smart home ecosystem built around AI appliances.
The three telecom operators, which are accelerating their transition into AI companies, will also put AI front and center. SK Telecom will organize its pavilion around five themes: network AI, AI data center solutions, AI models, agent AI, and physical AI. It will demonstrate concrete application cases of the large-scale AI model ‘A.X K1’, which has advanced to phase two of its proprietary AI foundation model project. The company will also introduce technology that enables AI to learn in virtual environments and then operate in the real world through a digital twin platform and a robot training platform.
KT will unveil 27 innovative technology items, including its AI transformation (AX) platform and sixth-generation mobile communications (6G). It will offer hands-on experiences with its in-house developed AI model ‘Mideum K Pro’ and showcase industrial on-site applications that connect robots, equipment, and existing systems as AI agents through the robot platform ‘K RaaS’.
LG Uplus, which has prepared a standalone exhibition booth for the first time this year, will present future AI services that connect people and technology more naturally through voice. A representative example is the next-generation AI call agent ‘Iksio Pro’, which comprehensively understands everyday data such as calls, messages, and schedules and proactively suggests context-appropriate information.
During the event, sessions such as the ‘Global ICT Outlook Conference’, which shares industrial AI application cases and development strategies, and the ‘K-Physical AI Roundtable’, which explores development directions and collaboration plans for physical AI technologies focused on industrial sites, will be held.
