According to the exit poll by the three terrestrial broadcasters (KBS·MBC·SBS) for the 6·3 local elections, the Democratic Party is projected to win in 11 of the 16 metropolitan-level mayoral and gubernatorial races nationwide, while the People Power Party is projected to win in 1. Four races, Busan, Daegu, Gangwon, and North Jeolla, were identified as toss-ups.
In the Seoul mayoral race, Democratic Party candidate Jeong Won-oh is projected to place first with 51.4% of the vote. People Power Party candidate Oh Se-hoon is projected to take 46%.
In the Busan mayoral race, Democratic Party candidate Jeon Jae-soo registered 50.2%, and People Power Party candidate Park Hyung-joon 48.3%. In the Daegu mayoral race, People Power Party candidate Chu Kyung-ho registered 49.9%, and Democratic Party candidate Kim Boo-kyum 49.1%.
In the Gangwon governor race, Democratic Party candidate Woo Sang-ho had 51.3% and People Power Party candidate Kim Jin-tae 48.7%, a contest within the margin of error. In the North Jeolla governor race, Democratic Party candidate Lee Won-taek had 48.5%, and independent candidate Kim Kwan-young 46.3%.
In the Ulsan mayoral race, Democratic Party candidate Kim Sang-wook led with 52.8%, while People Power Party candidate Kim Doo-kyum followed with 43.2%. In the South Gyeongsang governor race, Democratic Party candidate Kim Kyung-soo had 54.3%, and People Power Party candidate Park Wan-su 45.7%.
In the North Gyeongsang governor race, People Power Party candidate Lee Cheol-woo had 69.7%, and Democratic Party candidate Oh Joong-gi 30.3%.
For Gyeonggi governor, Democratic Party candidate Choo Mi-ae (60.4%); for Incheon mayor, Democratic Party candidate Park Chan-dae (53.7%); for Daejeon mayor, candidate Heo Tae-jung (55.9%); for Sejong mayor, Democratic Party candidate Cho Sang-ho (64.3%); for South Chungcheong governor, Democratic Party candidate Park Soo-hyun (52.1%); for North Chungcheong governor, Democratic Party candidate Shin Yong-han (56.2%); for South Jeolla·Gwangju mayor, Democratic Party candidate Min Hyung-bae (78.6%); and for Jeju governor, Democratic Party candidate Wi Seong-gon (62.2%) were each in first place.
