On the 3rd (local time), U.S. President Donald Trump said, “Iran has already agreed not to have nuclear weapons.” He said he would like to meet Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei “someday.”
Reuters reported that Trump made these remarks in an interview on the podcast ‘Pod Force One (Pod Force One)’ released that day.
Regarding the status of negotiations on a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to end the war with Iran, Trump said, “Iran has already agreed not to possess nuclear weapons.” Asked to confirm whether the Iranian regime had agreed to that condition, Trump said, “They agreed,” and added, “Of course, they could change their mind, but that was one of the things they had to agree to, and they agreed. That was the most important part.”
When the host asked whether Mojtaba is involved in Iran’s decision-making, Trump replied, “He is.” When the host then asked if he would be willing to meet, Trump began, “I hadn’t thought about it. That’s a good question,” and then answered, “Yes. I would like to meet.” He added, “Depending on how things are progressing, I will meet him someday.”
Netanyahu ‘expletive-laced’ call also “true”
Trump also admitted “Yes” when asked whether he had used heated language and expletives in a call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. When the host asked, “‘Are you effing crazy?’is it true that you used that phrase?” Trump answered, “Yes.” He continued, “I wasn’t angry. But I felt somewhat displeased that he kept fighting with Lebanon,” adding, “At some point, you have to stop.” He added, “But I continue to have a good relationship with Bibi (Netanyahu’s nickname).”
Trump claimed that inflation in the United States is not severe and that gasoline prices will fall if the U.S.Iran war ends. He said, “We have almost no inflation right now. Excluding gasoline and energy prices, inflation is very low,” and added, “In the near future, gasoline prices will fall.”
