KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 4th that it had completed the joint arrangement for the U.S. Delfin floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) development project.
‘Delfin FLNG’ is the first commercial floating liquefied natural gas facility being pursued in U.S. offshore waters, and Samsung Heavy Industries won the facility construction contract.
KB Kookmin Bank participated as a joint arranger together with global banks such as Mitsubishi UFG and Citi, arranging 240 billion won out of approximately 4 trillion won in total syndicated loans (syndication).
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, “It carries symbolic meaning that Korean shipbuilding and finance participated together in strategic energy infrastructure development in the United States,” adding, “We will continue to expand the role of finance in actively supporting the global expansion of Korean industry.”
