Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, will arrive in Korea via Gimpo Airport on the afternoon of the 5th on a charter flight.
On the 4th, Gimpo Airport said, “CEO Jensen Huang is scheduled to enter through the Gimpo Business Aviation Center at around 5:20 p.m. on the 5th, after finishing his schedule for the Nvidia developer conference (GTC) held in Taipei, Taiwan.”
During his stay, Huang is expected to meet with the heads and executives of major domestic companies and startup figures to discuss businesses related to semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics.
On the evening of the first day of the visit, he is reportedly set to have a dinner meeting with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Euisun, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Chair Lee Hae-jin. The venue is a restaurant in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, where they are said to have a so-called ‘pork belly and somaek (soju-beer) gathering’.
On the 7th, he will take the mound for the ceremonial first pitch at the regular-season home game between the Doosan Bears and the Kiwoom Heroes at Jamsil Baseball Stadium. A well-known baseball fan, Jensen Huang will wear No. 93, symbolizing the founding year of Nvidia, 1993. Doosan Group Chairman and Doosan Bears owner Park Jung-won will take the ceremonial first swing. Park is expected to step into the box at home plate wearing a No. 96 uniform, representing 1896, the year Doosan was founded.
On the final day, the 8th, he is expected to hold a closed-door meeting at The Shilla Seoul with heads of domestic AI and robotics startups.
