That day on X, he shared an article titled <President Lee approval rating 50.4%… down 9.4P from before the election> and wrote this. He said, “With a lower stance and greater humility, I will reach out more widely, embrace more, and work harder.”

Earlier, at a press conference marking the first anniversary of his inauguration held at Cheong Wa Dae on the 8th, President Lee also said regarding the 6·3 local election results, “I think it is a warning from the people,” and said, “I will be humble with a lower stance.”

The poll cited by President Lee was conducted by the Korea Society Opinion Institute (KSOI) on the 8th and 9th among 1,002 voters nationwide aged 18 or older; President Lee’s job approval stood at 50.4%, down 9.4 percentage points from the previous survey. The negative evaluation ‘doing poorly’ was 45.7%, up 10.5 percentage points from the previous survey.

The survey was conducted using an ARS interactive voice response method based on wireless virtual numbers provided by the three telecom companies.
