Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, has postponed his visit to South Korea.
OpenAI Korea announced on the 12th that “CEO Altman has postponed his visits to Asia, including South Korea, due to unavoidable personal circumstances”.
OpenAI Korea said, “As CEO Altman had been looking forward to this visit to South Korea, he is very disappointed that he could not carry out the scheduled itinerary”, adding, “South Korea is a very important country and a strategic partner for OpenAI, and the collaborations underway with domestic partners will continue as planned”.
It added, “We hope CEO Altman will be able to visit South Korea again in the near future to extend his greetings”.
CEO Altman had planned to arrive in South Korea on the 14th for a one night, two day schedule, including meetings with the management of Samsung Electronics·Naver·Kakao.
