Comedian Lee Su-ji (41) will undergo surgery for vocal nodules. For the programs she appears on, including the SBS variety show <No, But Seriously!> and her personal YouTube channel <Hot Issue Ji>, sufficient footage has been recorded in advance of the surgery, so broadcasts are not expected to be affected.

Her agency CP Entertainment stated on the 14th, “Lee Su-ji was recently diagnosed with vocal nodules and is scheduled to receive treatment in accordance with the opinion of the medical team.” It added, “Lee Su-ji plans to continue her activities after taking time to recover,” and “We will ensure she can return in good health.”

After debuting in 2008 as a 10th-term open recruitment comedian at SBS, Lee Su-ji moved to KBS in 2012 and rose to great popularity with <Gag Concert>. She then became a leading figure through programs such as <Office Workers>, establishing herself as a ‘breakout star’. Most recently, she received honors including the Blue Dragon Series Awards, the Female Variety Award at the Baeksang Arts Awards, and a Commendation from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the Popular Culture and Arts Awards.
